We are an urban and individual hostal in the heart of the city of Barcelona that focuses its efforts on customer service and the experience they have in the city, always from a responsible and sustainable point of view. Our sensitivity for our environment, the Raval neighbourhood in Barcelona, has led us to establish measures that promote local development and improve the lives of the people in the community. We are small, we do not have a gym or pool, but we offer the best service (or at least the one we like to receive when we travel and we are far from home). We can take care and know our client in deep, and give a very personalized service. We love being small.

We take care of you even before your stay
Before your arrival at the Hostal Mare Nostrum you will receive two things: the weather forecast and the Curious Guide, a complete guide of Barcelona with all those recommendations that only a close friend who lives in the city would know. Upon your arrival at the Hostal we will give you one more thing: the Curious Card, a discount card for restaurants, shops and bars nearby the hostal.

Facilities
In our prices are always included taxes (VAT), the connection to our powerful WiFi network and our buffet continental breakfast from 8am to 11am, so you do not have to wake up early while your holidays. If the last day you have to leave earlier before we start serving breakfast… We will prepare a coffee and a croissant so you do not have to travel on an empty stomach. Always on request the night before.
Your comfort, our main goal
We clean your room every day between 9:00 and 14:00. Remember to make responsible use of water and electricity. There is no Planet B and we have to take care of it. Remember to put the “Do not disturb” if you do not want to use this service.
