Festival of Music and Black Culture Say It Loud arrives to Barcelona!

SAY IT LOUD

From 18th to 31st of October 2018, Say It Loud presents his Music Festival and Black Culture 11th edition in several spaces in Barcelona with international artists.

Among the spaces that will host the festival we find: “Farinera del Clot”, “Ateneu Harmonia“and “Ateneu Popular 9 Barris”. Also in the bookstore “Pebre Negre” and “Cinemes Girona” several activities will be organized.

Say it Loud in 5 concepts. A Social Economy Cultural Proposal, Culture and Politics, Public and Neighborhood Equipment’s, Community Music Proposals and International Music Proposals.

This event is almost unique, it integrates music with cultural events through activities such as talks, workshops, exhibitions and musical performances.

The first three days will take place at “Centre Cultural La Farinera del Clot”.

Say It Loud starts on 18th October at 19h with the book exhibition “Músicas contra el poder” by Vaelentín Ladrero together with the musical session by Ro Extraño.

On Friday October 19th, the new-wave pioneer of Jazz Music in UK, Ezra Collective, will appear.

The third event “CIUTAT – CULTURA – COMUNITAT” will take place in “Farinera del Clot” on October 20th . In this event we will see the performance of the following artists:  Els Secrets de Mr. Stromboli, Alibabrass, Big Menu, Compota de Manana, Lady Avocado together with social and solidarity economy organizations.

On October 22nd and 23rd there will be several cultural activities. On the one hand, on Monday, there is an exhibition of the books “Negro is Beltza” by Fermin Muguruza and “Los puentes de Moscú” by Alfonso Zapico at bookstore Pebre Negre. On the other hand, on Tuesday, the documentary “Beltza Naiz” with Amaia Jackson y Fermín Muguruza at 07:00 p.m.

On Friday 26th October will be held  the Jam It Loud in Ateneu Harmonia with the groups Queralt Lahoz, Paula Peso, Lil Russia & Marga Mbande.  Saturday, October 27th is the longest day of the festival for the super fans of reggae in Ateneu Popular 9 Barris. The 8H REGGAE RUN (from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). We will see live performances and DJ sessions. It will have the participation of : Sister Nancy & Legal Shot, Deadly Dragon & Screechy Dan, What About the Half, Powered by Rebelmadiaq

The closing party is on 31st of October with Coely and Blitz the Ambassadors at “Fábrica de Creación Fabra i Coats”.
