My name is Miki Imamura and I am a receptionist at Hostal Mare Nostrum, in the afternoon shift.
I am originally from Shiga (Japan), but I have been living in Barcelona for 14 years.
I have been working at Hostal Mare Nostrum for many years and what I like most is the family atmosphere. As we are a small Hostal it is easy for us to get along and have a good atmosphere.
I would like the Hostal to have an elevator to the ground floor, at street level. However, due the building structure, it can’t possible. On the other hand, I really like the modern and functional design of the rooms, which although small are perfect for a short stay in the city.
What I like most about Barcelona is that it is unique. There are many cities that resemble each other, but Barcelona has something special. What I like most is the weather, cultural diversity and the way of being of the people of Barcelona.
From Barcelona, I would like to recommend to visit:
– Parc Güell, a perfect place to walk around and have good views of the city.
– Gothic Quarter, a very typical area of Barcelona.
– Born Quarter, in this neighborhood I like bars and terraces to have a drink, they are very original.
